PURPOSE VENTURE CAPITAL INVESTS IN ZUMVET - MAY 2021
It is our focus to support entrepreneurs who wish to develop a better future for all. At the core for us is SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Research demonstrates the positive effects of pet ownership on chronic illness recovery and prevention and evidence suggesting pets can be beneficial in treating mental illness. As pet populations rise around the globe, it is essential that societies ensure the necessary veterinary care is available to ensure these pets are well-cared for and safeguarded against illness.
With just 2.3% of VC funding to women-led startups, it is certainly our intent to back more female founders (SDG 5: Gender Equality) while promoting responsible consumption (SDG12). We are excited by the growth potential of the petcare market that is projected to reach USD325.74 billion by 2028 and ZumVet is well positioned to deliver better and more that can improve how we care for our companion animals.
